Coffee neat

Posted by: 2161aneres on: December 3, 2009

I think I’ve discovered the secret of staying alert and awake at work and at home even having few hours of sleep.
Gulp down the coffee (iced) at one drinking, one shot.
Super effective. The first time that I didn’t close my eyes while at the clinic.
HAHA.
OOPS.
Been reading Elizabeth George’s A Woman After God’s Heart. Realized that [...]

Thoughts

Posted by: 2161aneres on: November 11, 2009

After listening to the sermon (the post below), I have some thoughts. I missed my own church for the past few weeks as I attended another church meanwhile (temporary). I do miss my Church a lot.
The emphasis on spending time wisely by pursuing things of value, and the importance of prayer according to God’s will [...]

Reflection on “Obedience” (during qt) and about Marriage

Posted by: 2161aneres on: July 21, 2009

Was reading through randomly of the bible at Jeremiah 7, 8 , 9.. and I keep seeing repeated words, ” Obey me” (says the Lord), throughout the few chapters, which is congruent with Carol’s earlier on sudden-out-of-the-blue sms of “Obey the Lord…” . These have already tugged at my heartstrings. Yes, it is an issue. [...]

Definitions of…

Posted by: 2161aneres on: June 29, 2009

Define, if you can, of these words below. You may find that each of them holds a different meaning to each individual, and being controversial too.
-Extreme
-Normal
-Abnormal
-Best

You may discover that you need a standard to measure these with. The answer lies with what kind of standard you use…
There are still infinite things that I [...]

A Modernisation Summary

Posted by: 2161aneres on: May 20, 2009

(Trying my best to make sense out of the complicated NHS system)
In the beginning, Aneurin Bevan created the NHS system (post-war in 5th July 1948). And in 1997, new labour government elected to address a failing NHS by Tony Blair. And here goes the Ten Year- Modernisation Agenda.
Quality is at the heart of all NHS [...]

Accounts with God

Posted by: 2161aneres on: March 18, 2009

This month being March, is a busy month for the accountants, who are working extra time to clear their accounts…
However, a sober thought came to me.
I felt that I have unsettled accounts with God.
I’ve wrote down a list of it, and I’m trying to submit those to God and to work towards settling those “accounts”. They [...]

Will you welcome Edison Chen to your Church?

 Mark 12:15-17
15While Jesus was having dinner at Levi’s house, many tax collectors and “sinners” were eating with him and his disciples, for there were many who followed him. 16When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the “sinners” and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: “Why does he eat with [...]

Infidelity

Posted by: 2161aneres on: December 3, 2008

I hate those husbands who fool around with other girls/women and let their wives catch them.
I hate it ultimately.
And they have the cheek to blame their wives for being fat or unattractive or old.
I hate it.
Feel sad for her, and my heart aches for her too.
Such things do happen, and it is on the top of my list [...]

Drill

Posted by: 2161aneres on: November 23, 2008

I like to think about what this passage says in difficult circumstances:
From: Streams in the Desert by Mrs Charles E. Cowman, for Nov 23–
The tests of life are to make, not break us. Trouble may demolish a man’s business but build up his character. The blow at the outward man may be the greatest blessing [...]

Clear Mind

Posted by: 2161aneres on: November 22, 2008

I really need to pray for a clear mind now.
Separate mind from emotions.
But my logic is always against my emotions and what my heart wanted. The brain has neurons, but the heart has only cardiac cells.
Be strong.
