I just have to blog about this man. The King of Pop died during my generation… that will be well remembered. I managed to watch a little bit of his funeral service late last night live on Channel 5….
When I was just 3 or 4, my cousin brother and I, of whom we live together, were already dancing to his songs, and my cousin really had idolized him then, of which I’m also influenced. My cousin would always challenge me to the moonwalk and the dance steps then. And seeing Michael will always remind me a shadow of my cousin, as he follows his actions very well..
Michael has always been the coolest thing around on the earth, ever since the bad stuff about him emerges.
To think that he practically had no childhood, being beaten often by his dad, and that is why he can dance so well, as he had been dancing all of his life.
I remembered the chapter in the bible in John 8. When an adulteress was caught in the action, and brought to Jesus: (From John 8:3-11-NIV)
3The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?”6They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.“ 8Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
11“No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
Even Jesus, the King of Kings did not condemn the woman, but asked her to leave her life of sin. I’m sure, we should stop condemning Michael no matter what.. as we are with sin as well…… But he was found not guilty at the final verdict due to insufficient evidence…. Even though he has a lot of fame, wealth..etc, but his life was definitely not an easy one.
This is my strong sentiment about his death. He is one cool guy, and I do hope he is right now in Heaven, even though I have no way of knowing…..
Here’s my favorite song from him- Billie Jean (this song was always played in the mornings in my old office):
